Inkyu Sa is a research scientist with the Robotics and Autonomous Systems Group at the Queensland Centre for Advanced Technologies (QCAT), Pullenvale, QLD. Before joining CSIRO, he was a senior researcher at Autonomous Systems Lab., ETH, Switzerland, since 2016. He was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Robotics and Autonomous Systems, Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia, since 2015 and obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2014 from the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at QUT. He received Bachelor (2002) and Master (2006) degrees from Sung Kyun Kwan University, South Korea and worked at Samsung as a software engineer (2006-2009).
His research interests lie in agricultural and field robotics, specifically site-specific weed management (SSWM) using unmanned aerial vehicles, multi-spectral sensors and deep learning technologies.
